The futures on this site are Antony Butts’s original exploratory concepts and story worlds. They develop possibilities through people’s motives, businesses, institutions and responses. A plausible story is not proof that its future will happen.
Scenes from worlds that do not exist.
Future headlines, dialogue, companies and situations are elements of scenarios, not reports of events. References to public bodies or existing types of organisation inside those worlds do not imply their participation or endorsement.
Different premises. Connected questions.
Some concepts begin near an existing capability; others use more distant or explicitly science-fictional premises. The collection connects them by the transformations they explore, rather than treating them all as forecasts on the same timetable.
Real work is labelled separately.
The Films and About pages describe documentary and commissioned work. Project links are labelled as films, festival pages, press kits or award records so the destination is clear.
Privacy.
This website has no analytics or advertising scripts. Selected film pages embed YouTube or Vimeo players; those providers may process usage data and use cookies under their own policies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. The contact tool prepares an email locally. It does not send, collect or store the form’s contents. External sites and email providers operate independently.
